content pages- introduction

Erik’s Parenting Success System is centered on 8 Content pages. The Content Pages follow a logical order. The Content Pages are listed at the top of the page. Just click on one of the links to see the Content Page that interests you the most.

You can start your journey on any Content Page. But — it pays to be logical and to be strategic. Keep reading—

Here’s how to be logical and strategic:

  • First, build a positive relationship. Make sure your child has some positive moments with you every day. There’s hard work ahead. You and your child need to know that you’re good together before you start the hard work of teaching, and before your child will accept the hard task of learning. A positive relationship makes teaching and learning possible. The Content Page on Positive Relationships will get you going.

  • Second, create Wellness: Teach your child to sleep well, eat well, and control their screen time. The Content pages on Sleeping, Eating, and Schedules will help you teach your child these important skills.

  • Third, create a schedule. Make sure your child has a privilege to look forward to every day. Once your child knows when privileges will occur, you can put jobs and rules into the schedule. The Content pages on Schedules and Rules will get you going.

  • Fourth, Build a positive relationship. Again! Make sure your child has some positive moments with you every day. A positive relationship makes teaching and learning possible. The Content Page on Positive Relationships will keep you going. Then, look at the last Content Pages.

  • Fifth- Work on friendships. Your child will be more successful with friendships if they have a positive relationship with you, and if they can tolerate the frustration of schedules and rules.

  • Sixth, work on homework. Your child will be more successful with homework when they have a schedule of privileges, routines, and rules. Work on those first.
